Periodic Inspection Training (PIT)

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations requires that all commercial motor vehicles pass an annual (periodic) inspection, performed by a qualified individual. Although the State of Michigan requires some mechanics to be state certified, this does not mean they are automatically qualified to perform the periodic inspection.

NATMI Certification Training
